BRANDING / 2019 //

BRIEF //

As part of Accor applying a different discipline to each of the ibis brands, ibis Styles – the creative arms of the portfolio – wanted to create a competition platform that brought attention to and mirrored their hotels and graphic charters. Over three years we proposed and were to introduce Photography, Fashion and Interior Design.

SOLUTION //

A name had to be decided on in the first instance, but once ‘ibis Styles By Us’ was selected by the client as the platform name, we were to create the platform branding and roll it out across guidelines for markets. A classic and simple mark that shows the collaboration and cross-over of creative disciplines. A supporting graphic device was then devised to sit within all comms before we then had to roll out the brand guidelines (graphic charter for the French) which were then created for markets to produce their own assets and promote their own exhibitions.

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION / 2019 //

BRIEF //

As part of Accor applying a different discipline to each of the ibis brands, ibis Styles – the creative arms of the portfolio – wanted to create a competition platform that brought attention to and mirrored their hotels and graphic charters. Over three years we proposed and were to introduce Photography, Fashion and Interior Design. The first year was photography.

SOLUTION //

We discovered amateur photographers Daniel and Anna whose photography style matched that of ibis Styles, then devised a competition through Instagram to challenge fans of the brand to come up with their own unique images, and then have the opportunity to have their work exhibited alongside Daniel and Anna in ibis hotels across the world. To be exhibited alongside competition winners would be unique images created by Daniel and Anna.

HOTEL ACTIVATION / 2019 //

BRIEF //

As part of Accor applying a different discipline to each of the ibis brands, ibis Styles – the creative arms of the portfolio – wanted to create a competition platform that brought attention to and mirrored their hotels and graphic charters. Over three years we proposed and were to introduce Photography, Fashion and Interior Design. The first year was photography.

SOLUTION //

Based on the guideline inspiration we devised a simple and unique means to display the photographic work that had to be flexible due to all hotels being different. Whether in layout, space etc. the display units needed to be easily sourced, built and serve the work they were displaying to a gallery standard. We would then review and recommend proposals by local markets to ensure brand and quality control for each exhibition.
