BRIEF//

MasterCard had recently become the first major corporate sponsor for the e-sports game giant League of Legends and wanted to create a fan engagement venue during the world championship final in the host city of Seoul.

SOLUTION //

Upon selecting the Platoon Kunsthalle in downtown Seoul, we devised and created an experience for new and old fans of ‘LOL.’ We then created the Nexus (based on elements of the game). With MasterCard being a new player in this very precious world, we had to be mindful of their presence and get the perfect balance of passionate partner rather than imposing figure by integrating the brand seamlessly. We created interactive moments for guests (such as digital AR mirrors), unique opportunities to play and learn more about the game, meet the star players, view unique LOL propsand art, and most importantly watch the tournament with friends.
