BRIEF //

Richard Steele provides writing and editing services (and proofreading at a push). He is the fixer of crap copy, delivers without fuss, relieves stress, is reliable, cool calm and collected and provides clear and accessible copy for all of his clients. Richard wanted a new brand that represented not only his skills but also his values – and as he works predominantly with charities this was vitally important.

Richard wanted a new brand identity and subsequent roll out of supporting assets, that included a website/Squarespace template, social media and stationery – such as business cards, letterheads and potential Canva templates.

SOLUTION //

Richard goes about his work quietly but confidently, he has the ability to make sense of copy and present it in a clear and concise way. His brand therefore needed to also be clear and quietly confident. Researching editor mark making and the personal touch he brings to his work we used an analogue aesthetic to his predominantly digital output. A word mark that matched his own – highlighted to signify that he’s the the stand out candidate for your brief – and a structure to his marketing comms that emphasised his desire for order and clarity.
