BRIEF //

Pavement Licker is a zine created by James-Lee Duffy and Josh Jones that promoted fresh talent alongside more established names in the underground art world. For nearly 20 years Pavement Licker has worked with their extensive contacts in the art world alongside galleries, clothing lines, screen prints, charity organisations… and now, beer. Partnering with Verdant Brewery, they wanted 24 different artists for the 24 cans you can fit in a crate.

SOLUTION //

I had previously been included in a few different Pavement Licker zine over the past few years, so when the guys asked if I’d submit an illustration for inclusion alongside the amazing Verdant Brewery, I jumped at the chance. It was an absolute pleasure to have my work appear alongside artists such as Pure Evil, Ian Stevenson, Babak Gunjei and Andrew Rae.

The image chosen was Jailbird, which depicts a confident little puffed out chested birdy with human arms tattooed to the nines.
